Job Description

Job Title: Technical Writer
Duration: 3 Months
**This position is mainly remote, but the resource will need to be able to come onsite for meeting occasionally**        
Job Description:
The Technical Writer supports the Chief Accessibility Officer with a primary focus on incorporating accessibility requirements into procurement artifacts (RFPs, ITQs, contracts, etc.) The Technical Writer also develops content for intranet and internet pages to provide employees and citizens with information on the accessibility program and resources.
  • Developing, enhancing, and maintaining technical documentation
  • 4 year college degree or equivalent technical study (Nice to have)
  • 3-5 Years of technical writing experience within an RFP process
  • Experience with procurement artifacts (RFIs, RFPs, ITQs, contracts)
  • Exceptional writing abilities
  • Ability to think critically and draw from several resources to create simple, understandable requirements
  • Strong organization skills, attention for detail, communication skills and interpersonal skills
  • Self-motivated and able to work individually or as part of a team
  • Ability to work independently and conduct research with minimal guidance and supervision
  • Knowledge of digital accessibility and disability inclusion (Nice to have)
  • Knowledge of WCAG 2.1 AA requirements (Nice to have)
  • Experience including accessibility requirements when sourcing and procuring technology resources (Nice to have)
  • Project Management experience (Nice to have)
