This resource will function as a senior support specialist and will be proficient in the use of System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM), Active Directory (AD), Group Policies (GPO's)
Complete Description:
  • The System Specialist is knowledgeable on the usage and support of a collection of Microsoft PC system administrative technologies such as System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM), Active Directory (AD), Group Policies (GPO's), performs patch management, sets up printer queues. Primary role is the following:
  • Develops, administers, owns and maintains system security rules, policies and GPO's. 2. Create, manage and support Active Directory Objects including users, devices, printers and print queues.
  • Performs the development, testing, schedules and deployments all Windows PC operating system patches, feature upgrades and major Windows Operating system upgrades. 4. Provides system support to both HIT and end users.
  • Utilizes PowerShell scripting with most MS platforms including, but not limited to, server and workstation operating systems, Active Directory and = SCCM. 6. Ensure the SCCM servers are update to date with Windows Patches, drivers and other software. Ensure all SCCM and Active Directory servers are replicating/propagating properly. Troubleshoot when necessary and work with vendors to resolve issues.
  • Ensure Antivirus software is properly deployed to all endpoints, ensure full disk encryption on all laptop/tablet devices and encryption keys are securely stored for system restorations. 8. Provides support for Operating, endpoint and application issues, this could be related to hardware, drivers, patches, deployments and other configuration issues. EXPERIENCE: 2 to 5 yrs. This position will require onsite work for the first few days/week. Them most times will be remote until Covid is over. Candidates should be able to work onsite without relocation. A few times per month/year, candidate will need to be onsite during Covid Shutdown
Required:
  • Prior experience writing, developing and administering Group Policies (GPO's) in an Active Directory environment.
  • Prior experience creating, managing and supporting Active Directory Objects including users, devices, printers and servers.
  • Prior experience testing, scheduling and deploying all Windows PC operating system patches, feature upgrades and major Windows OS Upgrades
  • Prior experience with writing/coding PowerShell scripts and execute PowerShell commands in a Windows Server/Active Directory environment.
  • Prior experience patching Microsoft SCCM servers are update to date with Windows Patches, drivers and other software.
  • Prior experience deploying and validating that Antivirus software is properly deployed to all endpoints.
  • Prior experience with full disk encryption using Microsoft BitLocker on all laptop/tablet devices and encryption keys are securely stored
  • Prior experience with the Windows 10 operating system and troubleshooting system issue.
  • Prior experience working with Microsoft technical support to troubleshoot SCCM and Active Director issue.
  • Prior experience monitoring/supporting SCCM and Active Directory servers to ensure they are replicating/propagating properly across the domain.
